President of Proforma
Robert “Scott” Arnold serves as president with 18 years’ experience as a safety professional in drilling, geophysical, production, transportation and service operations. Scott also is trained as an emergency medical technician and hazardous material specialist. He is an accident investigation/reconstruction investigator, a fire, safety and accident prevention training specialist and investigator, and has served as incident commander and firefighting instructor for industrial, municipal and marine environments and fire science technology. (For details, see his resume.) ”We try to instill two primary concepts in everyone’s mind: (1) always conduct a “what-if” analysis in advance of any job or task to identify hazards that may exist, and (2) believe you have the right and obligation to stop the job if a hazard does exist, or if you don’t feel comfortable that the work will be performed safely,” says Scott. “This approach, when consistently applied, can result in significant reduction in accidents and injuries. For one client alone, we’ve helped achieve 15 million man-hours without a Days Away From Work Case (DAFWC) injury.”
